Many recruiting agencies provide contingency services, wherein they get paid only when the company hires the candidates it refers to them. But before it begins its search, the agency talks to the company to determine how much it will get paid if a candidate they refer gets hired. Once the amount is finalized, the recruiters start looking for suitable candidates based on the company’s criteria. The recruiter gets paid when the company recruits any of the candidates.

Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) is when a company outsources its recruitment tasks to an agency wholly or partially.
